The Hotel Edgewater (built in 1962 and recently remodeled in 1997) is situated right over the water on Pier 67. This has been a favorite place for many a celebrity to stay and even trash in some cases. The rooms are decorated with pine furniture, making the atmosphere comfortable, and you'll likely have your choice of a water view or city view suite. If possible, choose the water view and you won't be disappointed. You'll be able to watch the sun set over the Olympic Mountains while the ferries make their runs to the neighboring islands. You're only a few blocks away from the Seattle Aquarium and all the other waterfront attractions, but it's a bit farther to the downtown core. Don't want to walk? The hotel will gladly loan you one of their mountain bikes for city excursions. You'll also have access to the Seattle Club, located only one block away from Pike Place Market. -- Patricia Whisler

A romantic place for our 15th anniversary. The staff was freindly. However, the walls are thin. From 2am-5am the bed next door squeeked so badly we didn't get any sleep. I couldn't blame them for the wonderful time they must have been having but the bed needs to go or thicker walls need to be placed. The food was good but way too expensive for what we got. We'll probably go else where next time. We spent $300.00 for one nights stay includ

stayed in the hotel in July, we had a wonderful time. the staff couldn't have been kinder and more willing to help. They shuttled us everywhere we wanted to go. the city was magical. We had the best food and drinks anywhere we have ever stayed. the room was so cozy and comfy. the only thing I would recommend is that they don't try to sell everything in the room. some things are o.k., but EVERYTHING is a little tacky. We will definitely go back.
