Great Place, Beautiful Inside
By lei1280 on 09/14/2005
I went here for an early dinner and started out at the bar. Great Cosmopolitan and the bartender was very nice. When the dining room opened up, he didn't even have to ask me if I was ready to eat; the hostess came and got me. After hearing from locals about the meatloaf, I decided to give it a try...FABULOUS!!! All the raves are justified. I also had the caesar salad but skipped dessert. Just looking around at the more than 200-some hand blown glass chandaliers was also a plus. Would go back in a heartbeat.

I love this place and come here often with friends, usually to celebrate birthdays. The eggnog creme brulee (at Christmas) and the artichoke with Hollandaise appetizer are WONDERFUL.The service has always been very friendly and helpful.

Quite frankly, I don't know what all the buzz is about. After taking in the glass works, it comes down to food. The pasta was way too spicey, despite our waiter's opinion that it was not that spicey. Our waiter tried to be "informative and knowledgeable", but it came across as fake. Won't be back here soon. It was expensive for what you got, but someone has to pay for all that glass.

4/20/02 Dinner -- food was superb, service was flawless, the atmosphere was intimate but lively. The only negative is the size of the portions. My mother brought me up to clean up my plate. Well, I did it and now my belly aches!
