Great food and atmosphere
We had reservations at the other Italian resturant...had too wait too long, so we took a walk and found Luciano's. Loved it!
OK for Bellevue,but not "wow"
While it is true that Bellevue desperately needs more non-chain and quality restaurants, and that this is a step in the right direction, I would be cautious of going too far with the compliments here. Lovely ambiance, yes, and friendly enough service. But for the price, the food is slightly uninspired and a little, well...suburban. A good choice when you don't feel like driving into Seattle to get seriously good Italian food at any one of a dozen better restaurants, and then having to drive home after a great bottle of Barolo. I might go 2.5 stars here, but it was not an option...
response to "bland food 04/23
this is a breath of fresh air in our community!.. If you think this food is bland, and all the diatribe you wrote.. then get to the cheesecake factory .. where you belong. high in fat. too huge portions.. too expensive and a disturbing cookie cutter type.. Ristorante Luciano provides an ambiance.. unparalleled with all the chains that provide nothing but wait and wait.. hurry and eat. Luciano has become a regular stop for us.. sometimes several times a week!.. you need to re direct your palette and enjoy a slow, wonderful meal.. or .. hey.. go to Magiannos.. that just could be your style! enjoy. .mangia.. mangia! LOL
For all those that have not been..enjoy a new experience.. the pockets with filet.. wow! the sauce.. the pasta with peas.. white. .yummm sauce and some pancetta! very very good. and the chianti wines are great!.. havn't had an entree/ appetizer that disappoints.. will say that the tiramisu was not to my palette. .but the onion soup! everytime!
A Haven.....
My daughter and I narrowly escaped from a loud and obnoxious Trader Vic's to a beautiful little haven across the street called Ristorante Luciano. Wonderful ambiance, peaceful, friendly and courteous staff and the food was fantastic. The head chef is a master. What a lovely experience! We will definitely be repeat offenders.....
