Live piano music wafts through the store, creating the perfect backdrop for the refined, beautifully tailored clothing displayed carefully and tastefully -- nary a stray hanger on the floor nor a frayed garment. While the merchandise isn't necessarily runway-worthy, no one will ever accuse you of being less than totally stylish if your wardrobe's stocked with Nordstrom-bought pieces. The shoe department is renowned for the latest Charles David, Cole Haan, Kenneth Cole, and BCBG styles as well as lower-end, younger models like Sketchers.
