Gourmet Organic WOW!
By alpstrasse on 02/09/2007
I ate at the Sterling Cafe over the weekend and am absolutely thrilled to find a place where I can eat gourmet cooking and not worry about getting a migraine. For years, if I ate out I had to eat boring food: a plain steak, potato no topping, boiled vegetables. I couldn't even safely order rice. I have so missed gourmet restaurant food. But at the Sterling Cafe, I had the most fabulous meal and ate with gusto because I didn't have to worry about a migraine. And my husband, who's vegetarian, was able to have a delicious meal that didn't depend only on garlic to be tasty. The food was prepared with such care, spiced just right, and served elegantly. The chefs are incredible (catered to my specific needs), the service was excellent, and the table setting and wines were classy. All of my family will be back to eat again and again. And so should anyone else who enjoys excellent meals. If a person has food sensitivities or allergies, or just plain wants gourmet AND healthful cooking, this restaurant is the answer. Hurrah!!

Eat as good as you do at home!
By hypopharyngeal on 12/24/2004
At home, 98% of the products I use to prepare my meals is organic. Yet, when I eat out, I end up supporting agribusiness and the chemicals/gmo industry. Why? There are two reasons. First, establishments that claim to use organic ingredients do so only in part, while the lofty bill reflects a meal that could have used 100% organic ingredients. Second, establishments using organic ingredients tend to be vegan offerings or just don't taste as good as what I make at home. That was before a friend discovered Sterling Cafe. This low-key establishment belies the seriousness care Don Wilson employs to properly nourish his patrons. Start with an oh-so-flavorful soup and end with a you'll-want-to-take-some-home homemade desserts. His dinner entrees won't leave you wanting for flavor or portion, but my nod is for brunch/lunch for the greater choices. 100% organic and delicious meals - you deserve this!
