This ale house, which used to be the 74th Street Tavern until it was gutted and redecorated by new owners, has the look and feel of a traditional English public house. Twenty taps carry mostly specialty beers served in British pints or half pints. There is also quite a good selection of bottled brew, but most people go for the taps. The comfy, neighborhood atmosphere is similar to its sister pub, the Hilltop Ale House. There's good pub food on the menu (try the Reuben sandwich), but people come here for the beer. Street parking only, and on the weekends, that can be tricky.
