While it's no bull that Mae's has enormous breakfasts and a full-service espresso bar, you'll also find an extensive lunch menu and four separate grazing areas whenever you and your herd happen by. The entrance area has a counter and four booths, but you're just as likely to be seated in one of the two larger rooms. Your kids, though, will probably want to head for the Moo Room; this monument to milk, decked out in early Holstein, features a soda fountain and old-style jukebox. No matter where you wind up, you'll see a full range of barnyard-themed artifacts on the walls and shelves.

Worst breakfast ever
Judging by the crowds this may be an anomalyâ¦.but I had the WORST breakfast here ever. Coffee came quickly and was great. Waited and waited and when the eggs came they were cold, hash browns looked like they came from a box, were cold and burned, bacon likewise. But the huevos rancho were by FAR the worstâ¦..eggs were cold, a ladle of cold pureed tomatoes over the top and cold unmelted cheddar cheese grated over the top of all of thatâ¦.we sent the huevos ranchero back and they microwaved the whole mess!!! I used to bring my children hereâ¦.not any more.
So Overrated!
Mae's is SO OVER RATED! It is so not worth the wait on a weekend.
I find it so funny that people in Seattle who won't wait more than 20 minutes to get into a great dinner place will stand outside in the cold and rain and wait over an hour for eggs and pancakes.
Don't get me wrong, I love me some breakfast and I will wait for it (as long as I get good coffee while I wait) but Mae's is just not worth it.
