Surrounded by greenery and tall trees -- Mount Baker Park is right across the street -- Mioposto has possibly the most pleasing location of any Seattle pizza house. It bears many of the hallmarks of its siblings (which include Hi-Life, Atlas, Coastal Kitchen, 5 Spot, and Endolyne Joe's): it's tidy, casual, comfortable, and uber family friendly, but instead of spanning the globe, the all-day menu is straightforward and focused. Early risers drop in for Caffe Vita and a pastry. Starting at lunchtime, the Pinocchio, a zippy, cured-meatstravaganza, is a favorite pie (no lie!), along with the prosciutto e arugula and pizza del giardino. Share with the kids, or let them pick their own, such as bruschetta dei bambini, slathered with P.B & J. Antipasti, salads (roasted beet with arugula, goat cheese and almonds is a standout), sandwiches and panini, sweets, beer and wine round out the menu. Parents from the neighborhood are thrilled to have a pizza place for the whole family (that's not Chuck-E-Cheese), so dine late to avoid the juvenile quotient.

I was excited about the opening of a new place in the neighborhood, but was disappointed by the service and quality of the food. It is okay, but not of the quality warranting repeat visits. I was hoping for a "keeper" as the location has cycled through many different restaurants. Time wll tell if they can improve the service and food. Given the increased level of pizza quality in Seattle, there are many other places that have true Italian pizzas with friendly and helpful service.
