The ambiance is courtesy of Mother Nature, with seating for at least 100 at a plethora of picnic tables provided by owners Ron and Deborah Wise. She's the nice lady who takes your order at the window; he's the guy in back cooking up a mess of saucy, sassy meats. For more than 20 years this husband-and-wife team have dished it out to a steady stream of blue-collar, white-collar and no-collar fans addicted to their beef brisket dripping with peppery sauce, slabs of ham or rich, slow-cooked pork (ask for it "spiked" with a hot sausage link) served on soft, onion buns. The side of baked beans in a styrofoam cup is chunky with pork. It's lunch-only here -- they close at 3 or 4PM (depending on the season) -- but if it's dinner you want they'll pack up all the fixings for assembly later. Or if the tables are full and you crave almost instant gratification, they'll bag it for you -- along with plenty of napkins.

The Best - They learned in Texas!

This Is the best in Seattle by far. I've never had that much BBQ beef on on bun anywhere. and that's saying something! I've been going there since 1980. Sometimes I just order it "Dry" no sause, because the flavor is so dang good from the wood they use. Keep it up Ron & Deborah. They call me - Downhill
