While somewhat on the expensive side, these Spanish-themed concoctions of this trendy tapas bar don't skimp on meat, flavor or imagination -- you'll find exotic variations such as shredded duck or carnes mixtas (venison sausage and rabbit leg) in addition to traditional standbys like pork, seafood and cheese. Many are almost full meals in themselves. And if not, that'll allow room for dessert such as Tango's signature El Diablo -- chocolate with several spices and tequila-caramel sauce. Accompany your sweet selection with one of the city's most extensive assortments of cordials: sherry, port, cognac, Madeira, and more. Tango can be crowded, especially on the weekends. The full bar stocks scores of top-of-the-line tequila, as well as Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American wines. On Monday evenings, wine bottles are half off -- so you're likely to be pretty mellow by the time you're seated. And it's always enjoyable to check out the ever-fascinating Capitol Hill scene while you wait for a seat in this hip and polished watering hole.

Great Off Beat Tourist Find!!
By lehall on 07/12/2004
We were greeted by a wonderful waiter named Eric who agreed to be our Tapas and Mojito "ambassador". He was soo helpful in picking out menu items that gave us a first hand experience in the world of Tapas. He offered to make Mojitos (alcoholic drink) to our liking (sweet vs. less sweet)and he did a bang up job of explaining the world of Tapas to us. Everything we ordered was WONDERFUL, including the butter, which was a combination of quince, molasses and cayenne. The El Diablo dessert was to die for!!! This restaurant is a must for those who have spent the day among the tourist restaurants on the waterfront, and need "time out" from the commercial and want to partake in the "real world" Seattle. Tango Tapas is a MUST EXPERIENCE for Seattle travelers. Tell Eric, that Mona and Lisa sent you!! We loved this restaurant!! Eric...Thanks AGAIN for a wonderful dining experience!!
