Former New Yorker Peter Ryan turns out the closest thing to a real New York bagel that you are likely to find in the Emerald City. These bright, cheerful bagelrys produce authentically firm and chewy specimens all day long. Bagels can be had plain, with a "schmear" of cream cheese or as a sandwich. We like the Fremont Rocket (chicken breast, Cheddar, lettuce, tomato and chipotle mayonnaise) and the Emerald City Gem (turkey, havarti, avocado, red onion and ginger cilantro mayonnaise.) The bialys are good, too.
