In ShortMost patrons are regulars and comfortably dressed in kick-back attire. Some take tables in the front room, but many head toward the back dining room and take a stool at the dumpling bar, where a cook continuously forms and steams the dumplings (jiao-zi). Specialties include tea-smoked duck, green-onion pancakes, salt-and-pepper prawns. House-made noodles and steamed dumplings, authentic clay hot pot and crisp, battered and fried eggplant slices in sugar-vinegar-soy sauce are also offered.
