Understand that you'll never, ever be able to sneak into this eatery for a clandestine bite without being found out: The irresistible aroma clings like a sock fresh out of the dryer. It's like lipstick on your collar. Just admit you're going, save some embarrassment. Inside the narrow, two-story space a western motif is present but not pervasive, and guests receive a big, southern-style welcome. Portions, too, are Texas-sized, and prices downright modest. Full meals come with cornbread, a side (beans, slaw, potato, macaroni, or green salad) and meat (pork ribs, chicken, sausage, beef, pulled pork, turkey, ham.) The "Outlaw" gets one choice, the "Maverick" two, and purloining cattle must whet the appetite, because the "Rustler" comes with three meats. Sandwiches and chili round out the grown-up grub, and "li'l pardnurs" get their own menu. Tea comes sweet or not, but if you're hankerin' for a potent potable, go for the big can of Foster's lager.
