Considered to be one of Seattle's best restaurants, McCormick & Schmick's features an extensive Pacific Northwest seafood and fresh fish menu. The handsome interior of rich mahogany wood, brass and stained glass creates an inviting, upscale, yet unpretentious environment. The full service bar is always bustling with locals and visitors from out of town. Located two blocks from the waterfront at 1st and Spring Streets, just down the street from the famed Pike Street Market. McCormick's prepares fresh seafood in a traditional manner with a contemporary twist, as well as many other original favorites such as sirloin steak, and McCormick and Schmick's classics.

My husband and I are from the Gulf Coastwhere seafood is every day fare and we were absolutely in awe of what they served us - crab cakes from heaven. We have not been able to touch the quisine anywhere else we have traveled. We will go back.

Finest seafood restaurant in the U.S.
By saxmanfox on 03/07/2004
I discovered this restaurant on my first visit to Seattle in 1986, and in all my travels since all over the U.S. I have not found a seafood restaurant to quite equal McCormick & Schmicks at 1st and Spring in Seattle. The reasons it's the best include the uniformly exellent food, a wider variety of gourmet seafood selections than available at any other restaurant, a willingness of the chef to vary a menu item at a diner's request, the availability of rare items such as singing pink scallops, and the surprising good value to be obtained (price vs. quality). McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant in Seattle is the true Mecca for seafood believers.

Another great Seattle rest. I love the interior design, the service, but mostly the seafood! Great dining in the bar also. Great selection of local and regional micro brews too. I get the oysters and the steamed clams with their terrific sourdough bread.
