Old Country Buffet   

We (well ok so I) decided this year that for Thanksgiving, no one was going to stand in the kitchen and cook for hours and end up so exhausted by the time the food was served that you could not enjoy it. So we had a choice, go out or take out. Take out did not allow me to completely remove myself from the kitchen so we opted for go out and we chose Old Country Buffet in Factoria Mall in Bellevue. We knew that it would be packed and so we headed out early enough to be able to stand in line and not be starving while we did so. We allowed ourselves an hour and were very pleasantly surprised when it took half that amount of time to be seated at a table inside. The wait staff was excellent - management had enough working that day to accomodate the crowd well. The food was hot, well prepared, and the staff kept the buffet well stocked at all times. Quality was average to above average for a buffet, but then again the turnover time was very high so the food was fresh out of the kitchen usually and I find that makes a big difference when it comes to buffets. In short, I would highly recommend this for those with families who are like me and just could not bring themselves to stand in the kitchen for hours at the holidays. We will go back on Mothers Day for their brunch buffet.
