Guests of all ages standing outside the entrance and crowding the foyer, patiently awaiting a table in the large, soothingly lit and somewhat noisy dining room, should be evidence enough of this national chain's well-deserved popularity. Start with the house signature chicken lettuce wraps, a dish ample enough to make a fine, light meal on its own. Two of the best entree salads are wild Alaskan sockeye and warm duck spinach, with mandarin oranges and almonds in a citrus soy dressing. Choose brown or white rice to accompany favorites like orange peel beef, wok seared lamb or crispy honey chicken. There's also a long list of noodles dishes and plenty of vegetarian options. Watching what you take in? Check the Training Table Menu, which breaks down nutritional information for a number of dishes. That aside, a couple of desserts truly shine. With six cakey, gooey layers, The Great Wall of Chocolate rises to its adjective, and deep fried banana spring rolls with pineapple ice cream are sinfully ambrosial. Servers tend to be informed and almost creepily cheery -- it must be something they sneak into the special sauce they mix up tableside. By the way, you may be able to bypass the wait for a table if you're willing to sit at the bar.

Not terrible, not good either

Definitely not #1 in Seattle, but maybe within the top 100. Chang is basically a chinese version of a Ruby Tuesday Restaurant ... only more expensive. The food is somewhere between what someone from the mid-west and someone from Las Vegas expects when it comes to chinese food. Here's a clue, the few times I've been to PF Chang's (in Bellevue and Seattle, WA and El Segundo, CA), I don't remember ever seeing asian customers. Enough said.

The fried rice was OK but was not impressed with nothing else. Chicken , pork, and prawns all overcooked. Even the tea was so weak they must be using left over tea bags more than once. One thing was above average was the server was excellent and offered to get us something else and very nice . We refused as it took way to long to get the order anyway. We paid our tab, left a $7.00 tip and will not return again as there are many many other chinese restruants that put this one to shame.

Who padded the voting?????

I totaly agree with the other and I mean other ( 3 ) people that reveiwed this totaly over rated, over priced, and one of these reviewers was me again. Where are all the people who voted for this chinese resturant to be number one in the Seattle area. Any mom and pop chinese resturant tops this place hands down. Don't waste your hard earned money at Chang's. Give the money you would spend to the food bank where it will do some good.
