Great food, nice atmosphere
By bozcaraz on 11/03/2007
Delicate, varied and refined food, nice relaxed atmosphere, very friendly staff and genial chef. It can be pricey and unless you're on a VP business expense account, you won't want to hit too often, but it's well worth the money - count on $80 to $100 minimum per person w/ wine. This is defiitely _not_ a snotty French restaurant, the atmosphere is both refined and very relaxed in the best NW tradition. "Small portions", criticized a previous reviewer ? They are just the right size to enjoy the food, and when you have 7 or 9 courses... what do you expect ? There is no way you could savor the amazing mix of flavors if you were gorging yourself on each plate they bring - I've never left the restaurant hungry, and I do have a solid appetite! It's true that there are fewer choices than at IHOP. But they do offer 3 different menus (one vegetarian), and seem to change them very often, and again each menu offers a number of courses where everyone should find a lot to please the palate. Our favorite place where to take favorite guests or family members we really want to treat, or to celebrate a special occasion.

Once was enough.

Very little choice, very little food, very big price. Food is very good, but very "small" French portions.
