The SceneDim and cozy, the small bar and adjoining restaurant are comfortable places for an after-work cocktail or pre-theater meal. If a nearby theater is on the agenda for the evening, servers will give plenty of speedy attention, but leisurely meals are also enjoyable--either way, the staff keeps glasses filled and tables cleared without being obtrusive. The FoodIt's easy to have a meal just of appetizers, which include crunchy grilled asparagus wrapped in prosciutto and drizzled with cream sauce, fried sweet-potato gnocchi and refreshing carpaccio accented with sweet grapes. If a larger entree is in order, don't miss the stuffed veal chop, filled with mozzarella and prosciutto. Better to request a side of ricotta whipped potatoes than save room for dessert--whether it's the overdone chocolate cake or the too-tart raspberry crostata, they're lacking in finesse.

This was the best meal I have ever had the good fortune of enjoying. A smaller than expected dining room gave Tulios just the right atmosphere. The stuffed veal chops were exquisite.

Tulio's is the best restaurant in Seattle! For special occasions it is our only choice, and we celebrate each holiday there.
