Rate and Write a Review Uptown is right. The atmosphere is dark and candlelit, and the patrons tend to be the dressed-in-black, goateed sort. The big-screen TV in the bar and the restaurant's close proximity to Key Arena and Seattle Center make it popular with the Sonics pre-game crowd. The small dining area is non-smoking, but you can smoke in the small bar area and also have your meal there. The food is somewhat expensive for what you get, but in keeping with other restaurants in the Queen Anne neighborhood. Popular dishes include General Tso's chicken, which is fried crisp and juicy then sauteed with peppers; and the moo shu shrimp with pancakes. Lunch specials are a bargain, and feature hot and sour or egg-drop soup, egg roll or shrimp toast appetizer, fried or white rice, plus an entree.
