Tippecanoe Place Restaurant   

As atraveling contract therapist, I haver the opportunity to visit many restaurants on the east coast. I found this quite by accident as I was driving around South Bend. The atmosphere and the wait staff are impecable. The food was presented well and appeared most appetizing. The taste was out of this world! I truly enjoyed myself, from the french onion soup to the superb prime rib to the dessert cart...hmmmm, ahhh yes, the dessert cart ....what's not to like? The wait staff was Most attentive and my coffee cup and water glass was never allowed to be less than half full. Leisurely dining at its best.

The main courses are good, but not very consistent. Desserts are the best item, ambiance is wonderful, Service and building need an big uplift. Service is either poorly trained or not food service experienced

Not only is the mansion beautiful, but the service is superior. I have been there for a number of bunches and dinners, and have always been 100% happy with the meal. Make sure you take a look around the house before leaving! Extraordinary rooms, and amazing history!
