Ladies, slip on your new Manolos; gents, get into your hot Dolce & Gabbana slacks: It's time to hang with the beautiful people at one of South Beach's most exclusive see-and-be-seen venues, complete with premiere bottle service, cushy couches and bouncers that rival GQ cover models. Skybar boasts four distinct areas for you to enjoy, starting with the famous outdoor pool area. Second is the Rum Bar, serving 40 different rums in a secluded space with daybeds enclosed by sheer curtains. Boasting a four-poster wrought iron king-size bed, The Red Room Garden is a lush getaway, while the The Red Room, aptly named because of the scarlet laquered teak floor and various pieces of ruby-colored decor, is the VIP lounge where you might catch glimpses of celebs whose frequently bold-faced names make it much easier for them to get behind the velvet ropes. Skybar is a must-do even on a rainy evening 'cuz nothing beats lounging by its pool with a drink in one hand and a beautiful new friend by your side, swaying on a swing and watching the stars glitter above.

OK, it's a bar by a pool. It cost $40 for a mixed drink and 2 beers. The beer is in cans that they hand you with a cup and cost $8. The first time we went I talked us into the Red Room, which was VIP only that night, it was a red square room, w/o a restroom, so you had to leave so you could come back and fight through all the other losers begging to get in. No real dance floor so get drunk enough to dance in front of the dj booth like your at a wedding or like a retard dancing to barney in front of a t.v. or something like that. I don't remember having to pay a cover, but it's at the far end of the strip, so your cab fair there and back ate that. If you plan on sitting that will cost you too. So don't hoof it thinking you'll be able to rest b/c you won't unless you reserve it the day before for like $100, so you can sit there with your $8 can of beer, looking at a pool with everyone else. So if you are easily amused, have lots of disposable income, and you are soooooooooo desperate to feel like you belong b/c all the other clubs have huge lines or you can't get into another club b/c the bouncers are too busy let in their regulars for you to get noticed, then take a cab to skybar to be shook down. Hope this helps! :-).
