Live local and national blues bands blow through this down and dirty little club nightly, and pack the house full of young and old alike who share a common love of jazz. This ultra-hip venue is a favorite of locals and tourists alike, and its central location in downtown Ft. Lauderdale occasions many surprise visitors year-round. Open until 4 a.m., this dive is a great place to kick back, relax, and have fun. Always casual and always a blast, you'll quickly agree that the Poor House is the ultimate stop for jazz.- Stacy Noyes

Most of the blues bands are over-rated and usually sound the same but some great punk bands like Radiobaghdad & Irish Car Bomb play and hang there. Good place to get drunk, watch the freaks & make friends.
