Rate and Write a Review The work of artist Shepherd Fairey decorates the walls of the club formerly known as the Edge. He created the two-level mural of the Revolutionists and is the man behind all those Andre the Giant "Obey" stickers donning flat surfaces across the country. Obey is exactly what most fans will do when they see the artists scheduled to play the Revolution. When there is a turntablist present, the sounds range from James Brown to Jane's Addiction to Mos Def to Aerosmith - in other words, they play everything. The newly renovated venue blows listeners' minds thanks, in part, to $700,000 worth of Martin lights and Vertex sound equipment. The two VIP areas both have a bird's eye view of the stage. The new wrinkle is that they also have seats arranged movie theater style. Jeff John, owner, has gone out to bring listeners the best of everything. On Friday and Saturday nights, the 28,000-square-foot space is now home to Revolution, The Nightclub, with rotating DJs. Nicole Ritchie's intended, DJ AM, played the opening-night set.
