Located in the heart of Ft. Lauderdale on popular Las Olas Boulevard, the Riverside Hotel is a popular retreat, not only for vacationers, but also for locals who are looking for a romantic spot for their special occasions. The Riverside is known as a great locale for wedding receptions, bridal showers, birthdays and anniversaries. Hotel amenities include two restaurants, an outdoor pool, patio area for dining and sunbathing, tremendous views of the yachts on New River, room service and valet parking. Prices average at $155 with each of the 86 rooms featuring cable TV and refrigerators. All rooms are decorated in impressive romantic decor, with deep wood furnishings, soft lighting, crisp white linen bedspreads on either king or double sized beds. The three-floor Riverside has been a landmark in the city for over 60 years and is both quaint and hospitable featuring beautiful Lapa Lapa Mexican tile floors, native coral fireplaces and comfy wicker sofas. The onsite Indigo Restaurant is also one of the premier spots in Ft Lauderdale for Southeast Asian and Indonesian Cuisine. - Amie Leavitt

The GRILL ROOM Restaurant is fabulous
By Meyersonrj on 05/14/2008
I have stayed here many times and find the ambiance and retro feel unmatched anywehere in the area. The staff is very pleasant and the facilities are always well kept. The Grill Room located on the first floor alongside Las Olas Boulevard is, in my opinion, one of the best restaurants in South Florida. The decor is plush yet classic and the tailored servers outstanding. The menu serves up something for everyone, from fabulous Tuna to a marvelous duck, and meats of many varieties. For a great romantic evening, ask for a couch table and be surrounded by the outstanding live piano music.ENJOY!!!

Want to Feel like a fool !!

Try standing out front while 4 waitresses and a hostess stand there talking and laughing while several people are eating at tables. When you ask for a table the waitress tells you "were closed" we open at twelve for lunch. We apparently arrived at the in between time of 11:30. I guess some master brain at this place decided they need to close between breakfast and lunch for an hour or something like that. Great way to lose regular customers. I will never go back again and I have lived here 30 years. I will tell everyone I can not go to either. I have 1100 employess I can start with. I have a few friends as well. Good way to start a Saturday by going to this goofy place (NOT). Too bad they don't have the book "how to run a restaurant version 1". Only on Las Olas can they treat customers like this. Guess what there are "some restaurants on Las Olas that actually want good customers." Spend your money else where.

The nicest rooms in Fort Lauderdale...and, without question, the best location for nightlife.
