Our group of five had dinner at Spiga Saturday Night and should have checked it out more thoroughly than we did. The dining room was at best hot with random spouts of cool air. If we had any proactive service it was only to get our initial order which the waitress wanted both the drink and food order at one time. Other than that we had to wait and flag down someone who might give us a moments attention. The highlight of the eventing was the poor quality of food. I had the gniooci (sp?) which was basically flavorless. My son had a Penne dish that was at least 5o% undercooked. My nephew had a seafood dish which he said was OK with the exclusion of the salmon that was very fishy (as in old) tasting and smelly! My wife was equally displeased with her pasta and our other guest portion of pasta was no largerger than 3/4 of a cup. When the bill came we discovered why the service was so poor! The restaurant automatically adds a 15% tip on the bill. Shazam, this is the best way I know of to screw customers with poor service and Spiga excells in that standard. Dont be stupid, find somewhere better!
