Baleen Restaurant   

I went last year for my anniversary and I must say it was really nice. The service was top notch, they even wrote happy anniversary in the plate without me telling them. Also, we had a table next to the water and we eat right before the sunset which was nice. The food was excellent, I ate a fish which was delicious and the steak my wife eate was one of the best we ever had. The drinks are really good as well. Prices are not the most expensive out there but not really cheap. I recommend this place for a special day such as anniversary, celebration, or birthday. Prices are about $20-$30 a plate, maybe more.

to hear all of the negative reviews....but that's usually how it is in this business. I have dined at Baleen 3 times in 6 yrs. It is an everyday restaurant only for the very wealthy. I always recommend Baleen as THE MOST romantic restaurant in Miami. When you dine at a restaurant this romantic, slow service is just fine. I happened to enjoy the food and service as well the times I was there. As far as price/value I'd rather get a steak at Outback or Chili's than Prime 112 because when you get into the price range of these types of restaurants the quality does not always increase at the same rate as the price, but you have to take the entire experience into account and the steak is a bit better. I don't go to Prime 112 everyday either.
