After undergoing a million-dollar renovation, Berrie's Restaurant and Juice Bar is no longer your little neighborhood smoothie pit stop. The place has glammed up its act and revamped its menu to include earthy salads like the goat cheese and caramelized apple salad and the tuna nicoise, a pan seared tuna on a bed of baby greens, French beans, hardboiled eggs, kalamata olives, anchovies and tomatoes. If you're into soy, try the sesame crusted tofu with a stir-fry of vegetables and rice. The blackened mahi-mahi with sweet potato wheels, sauteed spinach and beurre blanc will go well with the juice bar's tangy minted lemonade. You can still find some of its old and low-priced favorites like the Olivia Wrap or The Kitchen Sink wrap. Fresh juices and smoothies are still popular, but it tough to ignore some of the delicious drinks offered by its full bar. Tuesday happy hours add live jazz to the mix, making it a hot little hangout for singles and couples, who want to dine outdoors and under the stars.
