Located in the classy, all-suite oceanfront Alexander Hotel, this steak house is more more than a sporty tribute to former Miami Dolphins Coach Don Shula. Filled with plenty of memorabilia from his years with the NFL, Shula's Steak House is known for its to-die-for slabs of steaks. And his restaurants (it's a chain) serve only the best cuts of meats -- that is, only Certified Angus Beef. The menu features plenty of NFL-worthy portions, including the 48-ounce porterhouse, a gateway to the decades-old 48 oz. Club. Presently, the club has more than 30,000 members, all of which have finished this monster steak. If you're not into red meat, you still have options. Go for the fresh seafood, excellent Maine lobster or superb pasta dishes. Situated in the hotel, this is the perfect place to begin a night out. Grab your favorite drink and spend some time in the ''No Defense Lounge.'' Open into the late evening hours, most nights you can enjoy the live music of local groups.

Worst meal I ever had was at Shula's in Miami Lakes-took it home and cat would not eat it. $100, no drinks, all for nothing! Michael Young Palm Beach Gardens, FL

Cuts are superb. Cooking and accompaniments could improve.
