For those who seek carefully crafted seafood, a sunset dinner at the Restaurant on Little Palm Island is the way to go. Little Palm Island lies just offshore from Little Torch Key, and is only accessible by boat from the Key. (Boat taxi service delivers you to your destination and picks you up when you're done.) If you're looking to impress, propose or celebrate, there is no place more romantic than its tables on the sand, surrounded by nothing but candles and sea air. But you must reserve one of these tables in advance--as you can imagine, they fill up fast. The menu at the Restaurant on Little Palm Island highlights distinctive Floribbean cuisine, with French and Asian undertones. The menu changes daily, offering selections like yellow snapper and red lobster plate: pan seared yellowtail snapper with lobster dumplings, watermelon relish, and tamarind pineapple jus; and the mushroom gateau: wild mushrooms, duck confit and foie gras, and ginger scallion crepes, topped with roasted corn truffle cream. Though all this decadence may make you feel young again, you must be over 16 to visit the restaurant.
