In ShortThe fluorescent-lit interior might be shabby, but Puerto Sagua is a favorite of local politicos, who congregate at the counter in the mornings to debate local, foreign and national policy over hearty Cuban breakfasts. The food isn't fancy, but diners return for paella-style chicken and rice, ham croquettes and other Cuban comfort dishes. It's also frequented by nocturnal creatures needing a quick shot of energy-boosting Cuban coffee before heading back out into the break of dawn.

Great Food & Coffee in SoBe
By khere00 on 09/01/2005
Just got back from Miami, and decided to try out Puerto Sagua for the first time. The food was amazing, as well as the authentic Cuban coffee. Restaurant is very homey and friendly, with a diner section on one side and a sit-down dining room on the other. Try the Shredded Beef platter with white rice and plaintains (add a cup of black beans, 'cause they are deliciously seasoned). The pork chops are huge and hard fried, but still very juicy. The flan is a little bitter, and not as tasty as Peruvian or Spanish flan. Definitely try the cafe con leche, as it is extraordinary!!! Hope you decide to check it out.
