where's the azars on monroe we came to love way back? This used to be our family's favorite place to eat. Roy, katy and the wonderful girl who was always right there w/ them used to run the place. the food was always good. No where have we EVER found service better anywhere, and we travel, than when the little italian worked there. this girls can move.we've watched her handle, w/ a smile and no mistakes, a full dining room, alone. and she'd wait on cars for espresso, help cook, prep and buss and she always smiled at you. Her attention to detail and favorites was awesome. Roy was always pleasent to visit with. The 2 of them were quite a team. Roys gyro and feta omellets were the best, his hummus divine. Unfortunately, we quit going when the good waitress left. her replacements have been a far cry from decent. they lack people skills, cleanleness, efficiency and looks. the place went down hill when she left and got worse recently. We went in hoping she was back, to discover that roy too was gone. what a shame. The place was a mess, the young help was rude, never smiled or checked on us. The "new owner"? an older woman in back took forever cooking our meal which was bland and costly, prices went up, quality and service down. bummer. no more azars for us. unless roy and his help come back.

Great food and great service! I have been to this establishment several times over the past 5 years and have never had a bad meal or server. Prices are a bit high but the food is great. I always have to take some home. Both meat eater and non-meat eater friendly.
