Don't believe the hype!

We had heard rave review about Clinkerdaggers. The view and the inside of the restaurant were the highlights. We asked for the early seating menu and the waitress looked at us and treated us like she had no idea what we were talking about. It is the first thing they advertise on their web page. She came back with the menu and said they only offer it to those who request it-sneaky. The signature dish is not offered on early menu. My husband ordered from the "secret menu" and his food was good, except for the wilted lettuce on the salad. I ordered their signature dish "the salt-rubbed prime rib". It was nothing special, I have had better prime rib at Outback for a lot less. It also comes with a small size portion of mashed potatoes, and buttered vegetables-that is it for $30! She asked me if I would like to add on a salad with that, but the $6 extra to get a salad was not worth it! No water refill without asking for it. As we were leaving my husband's sunglasses were on the ground and the waiter at the table across from our table pointed at them-that was nice of him, but it sure would have been a nicer gesture for him to pick them up and hand them to us-but this sums up our experience. Do yourself a favor and go to Anthony's, Milford's, SteamPlant, or Outback-you will get the ambiance, food, and service you expect and deserve at those prices.

Excellent lunches & dinners

After eating at clinkerdagger's for over 30 years (i.e. since it opened with Expo 74') I can honestly say that the food & service at both lunch & dinner far exceeds any restaraunt in Spokane. Under a new Manager Clinkerdagger's has returned to some old tried & true Spokane favorites...I enjoy weekly visits for lunch or dinner, with a courteous staff seemingly always present!!!
