Mizuna is one of those restaurants that always seems to be winning awards, and for good reason. It's been rated among Spokane's top ten restaurants and offers tantalizing vegetarian cuisine with a seasonal menu featuring the best of local produce. Some specials of the house include hazelnut ravioli, filled with pumpkin and smoked gouda cheese sauteed with apples, roasted shallots, toasted hazelnuts, sage and a light chipotle cream sauce; olive sage polenta cakes, grilled to order and topped with a smoked tomato- chile sauce with white beans and roasted peppers; and a spicy curry-crusted tofu fillet, pan-fried to order and served over sauteed summer squash, red peppers, spinach and fresh pineapple with a coconut basil sauce. Mizuna also offers wine tasting nightly in its wine bar, which features more than 30 wines.
