If youre an undergraduate at Penn State, this place is probably familiar territory. The Gingerbread Man is pretty much your typical college bar, offering happy hour seven days a week along with a steady diet of drink specials. Its the sort of place where the managers wear t- shirts and usually double as bouncers and waiters on busy nights -- even the women. On Wednesday nights and weekends, students dance the night away on a makeshift dance floor. Who are the regulars? "Anyone over 21," says one waitress. Before the college crowd rolls in around nine each night, recent grads and townies occupy the bar seats and booths. But if you go to the Gingerbread Man, dont expect a meal to remember: The kitchen serves up a predictable mix of sandwiches and pizza. -- Brody Mullins
