The Brewhouse, located just south of Westport Plaza is a nice alternative to the large noisy bars of St. Louis. Down home atmosphere and friendly people offer the basics: music and drink. Limited snacks are available so come in after dinner and enjoy live entertainment and karaoke throughout the week. Happy hour Monday through Friday from 4PM to 7PM and there is a small $2 cover for the band on Thursdays and Fridays. If you want to watch the game (5 televisions) or just unwind after work, this is a great place to go. -- Shari Missman Miller

Very friendly
We were from out of town - in fact my guest was from out of state, and we had no idea how to get to the Brewhouse. The staff was wonderful and guided us all the way there by talking to us on our cell phone. My guest sings karaoke and was totally accepted and loved it. In fact, the people in the bar lined up to hug us as we left and made sure to left us know that we were welcome anytime.
Not Newcomer Friendly
The bar service is OK, but beware the ogre that runs the Karaoke system. The bar overall is cliqy and newcomers and not welcome. The karaoke lady is rude and quick to critique your performance. This one we had to chalk up to the "do not return" list.

Pleasant atmosphere if you like the SLU game. Attractive people. Good place to get digits.
