Despite its hidden location in a strip mall behind the Loop, Mi Ranchito immediately transports you into a Mexican-style ranch restaurant. The walls are painted with a festive mural and festooned by cowboy hats, while the bar features a clay-tile roof. The open kitchen serves more than 50 different Mexican combination plates that range in flavor from the traditional Yucatan taste to the spicier Northwest regions. With such selection, one can find any meat (or vegetable) in a range of flavors that aren't necessarily spicy, if your taste runs mild. If you've got a predilection for fire mouth, the bar offers a monster margarita sized for two people that helps soothe any palette.
