At the time of its groundbreaking in 1922, the Chase Hotel represented the most expensive hotel construction ever. The Chase merged with the Park Plaza in 1956 and the buildings were connected. Today, the hotel continues its tradition of luxury with the addition of a state of the art five-cinema complex. Accommodations include studio, one bedroom and two bedroom guest suites, which feature a full kitchen. For a solid workout, be sure to sweat the toxins at the 18,000 square foot fitness center, which offers the latest in exercise equipment.New Year's Eve Gala in the Starlight Roof at the Chase Park Plaza: Ring in 2007 in a legendary room of windows overlooking Forest Park. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres are at 7PM, the multi-course dinner (with sweets table) is at 8PM, and then the Ralph Butler Band begins at 9PM. The premium bar is open until 12:45AM. Times are 7PM-1AM, and the cost is $150 per person.
