The Halo Bar   

With beautifully lush woodwork, high ceilings and gigantic street-side windows, Halo Bar is a classy place to sip a drink before a show at The Pageant. Though its look is evocative of a law office, its feel is very casual. The clientele and staff are much the same as Joe Edwards' other bar further down the Delmar Loop -- Blueberry Hill. The bar doubles as an entranceway to the Pageant Theatre, and it is possible to reserve one's place in the theater and then relax at the Halo until the doors open. The bar itself is well stocked, though draft beer selection is limited. Open until the wee hours, the Halo will challenge the Delmar Lounge for late-night supremacy on the loop. -- Brian Diedrick
