Rate and Write a Review Bars in St. Louis come and go, but the best stick around to become legendary. Legend in the making BB's Jazz, Blues & Soups has the formula for longevity. It presents live jazz and blues seven nights a week, and it's a great mix of local and national acts. Stay all day and late into the night because BB's won't let you go hungry. They have a full menu of mouth-watering dishes -- not just bar and grill fare -- served into the wee hours every night. As the popularity of this place has boomed, the fight for a table has become more fierce. Come early and often. You must be tired of going to trendy clubs with unusually high drink prices designed to help pay for unusually high ceilings. Get yourself some culture, man. -- Chris Krieger

cant wait to see the new edition !i enjoyed it before and i always will.bbs is a historic landmark to down town st louis.sure miss townsends playing the blues he sure be missed by everybody who knew him and listen to his music.
Heavy on great blues, but some great jazz also!!
Here we have one of the few authentic blues/jazz clubs in St. Louis--the bands are all top-flight--and most of the music IS ACTUALLY BLUES AND JAZZ. Kudos also to the waitstaff--the food is good and the servers are friendly. Check out the great Sessions Big Band every Monday night--they sound as good or better as any big band in the nation. We all know St. Louis is a blues-oriented town, but B.B.'s still books some good jazz as well.

Could be a 5 Star
This is one of the legendary blues clubs in St. Louis. We have seen so many top musicians here, and now they are opening up more space in the upstairs, which is very needed. The food is good and the atmosphere is right. The only problem is that the place is so narrow, sometimes it is hard getting through the crowd to find the restrooms. And it tends to get a little loud when the band is jamming. But one should not pass up the opportunity to hang where the legends play.
