The Brio Tuscan Grille brings the relaxing atmosphere of a Tuscan country villa to St. Louis. This classy dinner destination, located on the grounds of Plaza Frontenac, is tastefully decorated with arched colonnades, marble countertops and Italian mosaics. To eat, choose from an array of prime steaks and chops, including gorgonzola crusted strip steak, or try one of their homemade pasta selections, such as the chicken fra diavolo -- penne tossed with wood-grilled chicken and spicy tomato cream sauce. If you're looking for something a bit lighter at lunchtime, consider one of their panini sandwiches, flatbreads or salads. Brio is one of Plaza Frontenac's finest settings for middle-aged singles, a charming location for adults to catch up with old friends over a glass of Italian wine and perfect for a romantic evening with your sweetheart. But children are also welcome at Brio and even provided with their own ball of pizza dough to sculpt and play with during dinner. During nice weather, dine outside under the large umbrella-covered tables or take part in a game of bocce ball. -- Emily Spreng Lowery

Bad Service
By turtlesw on 02/06/2006
I went there and I liked the decor. The food was ok but pricey. The salad was skimpy for an extra $5.00. The waitstaff was bad. When I asked for an extra spoon, it took the waiter 20 minutes to realize that he forgot to bring it to me and then I never recieved it. We never got bread with our meal and the other tables had bread. Our waiter never asked us if we wanted desert or coffee. I won't go back there. Bad Service! I would not recommend.

Loved it!

I went there for happy hour on a friday night it was hoppin'. The service was pretty good for being so crowded and the cosmo's that the bartender made were awesome. The ambience was a breathe of fresh air, something different from most places in St. Louis. It makes you feel like you are in a villa in Italy. We went back for the food it was excellent service was great. And are going again with our families for B-day celebration. This is one of my favorite restaraunts!

Great Place
By flux502 on 02/28/2004
Great looking place, very well decorated. The wait was quite long, but it was worth it. The pasta dishes were some of the best I've had. The service was average, if maybe a little slow, but this was on Valentine's day. If your in the area, you have to give Brio a try.
