A lunchtime crowd at Cafe Manhattan may include a table full of suits at a business meeting, three elderly women gossiping over salads and two mommies with kids in tow divvying up burgers and fries. The typically middle American crowd complements the Americana decor, which is diner/soda-fountain complete with Coca-Cola memorabilia on the walls and a jukebox in the corner. The menu offers appetizers with a few surprisingly non-fried alternatives like bruschetta with artichokes and homemade white chicken chili. Sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, pizza and pasta round out the rest. Bob's special pizza includes shrimp, hamburger, bacon, green onion and jalapeno peppers.
