Rate and Write a Review The Lombardo's have been serving the metropolitan area since 1934, and Carmine's is yet another example of the family's keen Sicilian cooking and service skills. Opened by brothers Mike and Tony Lombardo in the reburbished Fur-Exchange building in the Drury Plaza Hotel, Carmine's is a strikingly elegant restaurant that serves a first-class meal to even the most casually dressed diners. Starters include succulent froglegs, portabella mushrooms and the incomparable meat-filled toasted ravioli. There are ample chicken and seafood dishes, including the lobster and shrimp risotto and the chicken gorgonzola. However, Carmine's is renowned for steaks, beginning with choice 8-oz. cuts like the Italian pepperloin and growing to oversized King Cuts such as the 16-oz. filet mignon and the 28-oz.
