Maybe it's a good thing Chinese food doesn't fill you up for long, because you can keep coming back to great places like House of Wong. This sleek, modern take on an intimate Chinese restaurant has two locations in the St. Louis area: Clayton and Creve Coeur. The menu is pretty standard for a Chinese joint, with serveral items designated for extra hot and extra time to prepare. Delivery is available if you don't want to dine in. House of Wong claims each order is prepared fresh after you choose it, so you don't have to worry about some vat of chow mein chillin' in the back. Highlights from the menu include Wong's Hot Chicken, with light crispy butter, sauteed with the famous house special hot sauce, Three Ingredients, with sliced chicken breasts, shrimp, beef and assorted vegetables, and Mahi-Mahi with pineapple coconut sauce. From lunch combos to lo mein and beef to tofu, theres something for everyone here.

The servers were rude and inattentive after they incorrectly brought me the wrong dish.

Fantastic Asian Cuisine
By qvie1 on 09/17/2005
Claytons' House Of Wong Restaurant features fabulous cuisine -- clever food combinations with their own sort of Asian and worldly influences. Want a drink with dinner, enjoy one from the relatively compact wine list, or one of their house specialties. Then, start your meal off with the Crab Rangoon or Sampler plate. Specialties range from a fantastic Crispy Beef to a interesting new "Chinese Sloppy Joe". Desserts such as the chocolate turtle cheese cake will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth. As you sit back, you'll notice that the dining area has a rustic look, with booths and wooden tables & chairs. A glass partition with a large Chinese mural seperates the main dining area from a secluded back section for larger groups. The staff is of course always helpful and quick and Tipping isn't a city in China - Ha Ha. For Chinese fine dinning in clayton you can not pass this place up.
