A sophisticated interior of elegant Chinese decor, complete with a turtle pond in the lobby, make this posh restaurant a little intimidating to those just looking for good Chinese food. Since 1978, this family has been serving a style of cuisine that is most notably Northern Chinese. Entrees such as smoked duck, braised beef and Szechuan beef with sea scallops are a bit pricey, yet most incredible in flavor and presentation. The menu is extensive in this tasteful restaurant, yet the usual favorites can be found at more reasonable prices here as well. A bustling lunch crowd fills the place daily, while the subdued atmosphere -- complete with Chinese lanterns, lots of red silk and soft music-- provides a nice spot for a romantic dinner.

The food is THE BEST chinese food I've ever had. The prices are moderate, but very worth it. The best garlic chicken, beef with broccoli and crab rangoon in St. Louis guaranteed. The food is very fresh and made to order

This place is great, granted, .1 mile down the street (Woodson) you can get a carry-out plate for $5.00 at Hon's Wok.

Like being in Peru

The food is really but really GOOD! I like the decoration and service and you can be sure this food is being cooked for real Peruvians. I love the Ceviche, Pisco Sour (is good, you gotta try this!) the Pionono is so delicious that I always try to get one home. I know how hard is to make Southamerican food here in Missouri. I think that they make an excellent job. I just feel like being at home each time I go to Mangos. They are very lovely with kids and you can be sure that at least one of the owners will be there to listen your comments. About price, I think is fair.
