Occupying what used to be a post-WWII bowling alley located in the heart of Clayton, the restaurant and lounge offers a 4,000 square-foot multi-level feast for the senses. The restaurant can handle large numbers of people and is regularly packed, but with its warm lighting, comfy couches, armchairs, love seats and slipper chairs, it still feels intimate. The chef combines Thai, Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese styles to create unique lunch and dinner menus. The tapas-sized portions allow you to eat light or to try a variety of dishes like the flash-fried calamari, cashew-crusted pork tenderloin or soy-garlic marinated beef tenderloin. With time-crunched lunch customers in mind, Miso also added a deli case for carryout sushi and noodles. The lounge is full of singles enjoying DJs and drink specials. -- Hillary Wicai

The food is terrific as is the atmosphere. The sushi is not the only good dish there. Try any one of the menu items. The couches provide a nice touch for more a more intimate dining experience. Great all-around choice.

When I walked into Miso for the first time, I thought to myself that I am not in St. Louis anymore. The atmosphere was like no other place that I have been to in this city. The food is remarkable! (The calamari is outstanding!) The sushi is the best in St. Louis..and for those non-sushi lovers, there is a huge variety of dishes that will definitely keep you coming back for more. Just as their website says,'At some point in time we must all experience perfect quality and taste.' They definitely stand behind that statement.
