Rate and Write a Review Affectionally dubbed "MoBar" by downtown divers, the Missouri Bar & Grill captures a bygone era with cheap food and drinks and character crammed into every corner. The vintage neon sign draws in anyone wandering around downtown at night, while Formica newsprint tables give a nod to the bar's heritage. Microbrews, like Schlafly, share bar space with Budweiser, the St. Louis giant. An eclectic mix of garage-sale leftovers and smiling sports heroes takes up every bit of wall space and then some. The urge to search for an old bowling trophy (or a forgotten press pass) is almost overwhelming. A TV behind the bar follows the latest sporting events, sound and all. Video games line one wall just inside the door. The place has a relaxed (and deserted) atmosphere to it on a Saturday afternoon, but attracts a wider crowd late at night. Additionally, the bar has live blues two nights a week and was deemed "photojournalist friendly" by the Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar. -- Jennifer Dockery
