Nestled on cobblestone streets polished by more than 200 years of commerce along the Mississippi River, Morgan Street Brewery radiates charm from its rich architecture to its warm interiors. Burnished wood and exposed brick highlight the building's many cozy nooks and corners. The main brewery building and adjacent lodge, both more than 130 years old, are separated by a brick patio that features cafe-style dining. One of the oldest structures in historic Laclede's Landing, the Brewery offers a spectrum of beers made on the premises as well as food and ample room for socializing, dancing and billiards. Operated since 1995 by native St. Louisans Steve and Vicki Owings, the Brewery has bars on the first and second floors, sidewalk and indoor dining as well as space for private parties, banquets and weekend dancing. -- Colleen M. Good Atmosphere, Bad Management
By rngofpower on 12/21/2004
Each level has it's own vibe which is nice. For the most part the crowd is a good mix, and tolerable for a Landing bar. The dance club in the back is always 110 degrees. Other than the house brews, your only beer choices are Bud and Bud Light in large and overpriced bottles. The part that ruins the experience the most though is their shameless practice of closing the bar @ 2 AM (instead of 3 AM when most of the other landing bars close) and without a last call. Don't buy a drink after 1:45 AM at the latest, you won't get a chance to drink it. The bouncers are rude and inconsiderate when closing down as well. Separating people from their party, forcing you to slam your drink or pour it out, even if you just bought it. Not only sucsessful in ripping people off with this practice, but encouraging people to drink quickly right before they jump in their cars to drive home. Pretty irresponsible liquor service.

Awesome Atmosphere
By fhn96 on 04/20/2000
This bar is awesome! The number one reason this is our favorite bar is the great music! Lots of fun rap music and 80's music (Ice, Ice, Baby). The people going to bars now are all children of the 80's and we love to hear the music of the 80's! This is the only bar that plays the music of that type. Great music and great party atmosphere outside. Also we love the big drinks! The only bad thing about this bar is the dance floor. It is way to small for the crowd it draws. It almost looks like a fire hazard.
