Off Broadway has hosted everything from Grammy winners to one-hit wonders, and owners Connie Garcia and Joe Telle are not resting on their laurels. This live music venue has hosted more than 1,000 live bands since the mid- 1980s. While just about every type of music has been featured at one time or another, the club tends to focus on the blues, folk and rock. In the past, planning to see a show was tough. Tickets were sold only at the door, only on the day of the show and only when the door was open. Now you can buy some shows in advance and online. Forget about reserving a table, however. The owners know it just annoys people. Back in the day, if you were hungry you had to bring your own food or ask for the number of the closest pizza delivery, but not anymore. Off Broadway offers a small menu of sandwiches and snacks. Most shows start between 9PM and 10PM, and Off Broadway is known for its late, music-loving crowd. The club only holds 315- 340 people, so you're sure to get a good look at the band and have no trouble hearing. -- Hillary Wicai
