The only St. Louis late-night alternative for clubbers since 1980, the Oz was revamped in 2003 and now maintains features that are revolutionary by even the highest international nightspot standards. An illustrious combination of sound, light and video systems bombard each patron in what essentially makes v2.O three clubs in one. The main room offers four bars and a dance floor infested with house and classic club tracks; Patio Blue is an outdoor tented lounge with hip-hop tempting you to yet another dance floor; the Emerald City VIP Lounge generates a sensual Moroccan vibe, holding more bars and grooving with house music. Drink specials highlight Wednesday and Thursday night, ''Sunrise Sessions'' begin at 6AM after Friday and Saturday nights, and the ''Sunday Night Ritual'' closes out the weekend for anyone over 19. The entire formula is posh enough for any princess, but the atmosphere created inside is absolutely primitive.

I have been going to the -OZ- since the WIZ, that will tell ya! I have always had to make sure not to forget the sunglasses. When the birds are singing and the sun is shining and you have to be at work by 8am on Friday, bring the sun glasses.

Lower class club, that offers nothing. Same music, same lighting, and very sloppy dressed people.

if you like techno...

then this is the place to be. If you can stand 3 hours of non-stop techno, with an occasional minute and a half ode to hip hope, then you'll fit right in. Personally, I can't listen to techno for that long.
