Easily accessible to both the airport and downtown, the Ritz provides luxurious accommodations for its guests. All rooms open onto a balcony and feature marble bathrooms with terrycloth robes. Whether or not you're staying at the hotel, if you're a brunch fanatic you must visit the main restaurant at the Ritz on Sundays between 11AM and 2:30PM. The lobby area provides daily afternoon tea with live entertainment and in the evening a sushi and martini bar. The restaurant serves seafood, salad, carved-to-order meats and items catered especially to children. After dining in one of the hotel's fine restaurants, you can retreat to the Cigar Bar for a stogie and a nightcap. All rooms at the Ritz come equipped with a mini-bar, refrigerator, cable TV and Nintendo.

Worse place to dine
By poosea2 on 06/18/2008
This is one of the worse place to dine in St. Louis, believe me. It has the Ritz Carlton brand, but from the service to the food quality, this is far worse thatn what you can expect from a Ritz standard. We went there one time for my family get together. When we called in for the reservation, the first impression with the telephonist made me a bit unhappy with her tone, then I was transfered to the restaurant, noone answered the phone. left voice mss, *********** call back. had to call like 3 times before i could get the reservation done. When we were there at 1200, the food was emptied and it took 30 minutes to replenish. The food was cold, servers were not friendly, yet with an attitude. The pastry was terrible, when my kids came over to the desk asking for a piece of chocolate, the pastry Chef, i believe he's french, was as cold as a coin, told my kids that he was too busy to get him a chocolate truffle, what left on the table was what they had and that they paid for this, not for the truffle. How could this be a place to recommend, to vote for? The restaurant manger was nice enough to stop by our table and asked if everything was alright, but that could not undo what had happened. We left in angry. I sent a complaint letter to the management but never got feedback from them. We have been travelling and used The Ritz many where else but this, St. Louis location was far the worse to recommend, even to try again.
